| | Do you enjoy easy listening music? | | Sometimes I just need a break from country or the newest hip hop songs that are played over and over again on the radio. When this happens, I turn to easy listening music. Sometimes I enjoy listening to our public radio which plays a wide variety of music from different countries. I also enjoy listening to Frank Sinatra! Something about this music is just comforting and calming. It can definitely put a positive spin on my day.Do you enjoy any easy listening type music? Who are your favorite artists? When do you turn to this kind of music or is it maybe the genre you always listen to. | |

| Do you like Perry Como | |
If you want some cool and relaxing music then listen to Perry Como. Perry Como has been my father's favorite through the years. In fact, it is through my father that I got acquainted to his music and learned to appreciate Perry Como's music. I find Perry Como's music very nice and very soothing to the ears. His good-natured voice is very pleasant to hear. It gives me much pleasure whenever I Iisten to his music. Perry Como is such a great hitmaker throughout his entire career of half a century. To him we attribute great hits such as "Oh Tie A Yellow Ribbon Around the Old Oak Tree","Some Enchanted Evening", "No Other Love", "Till The End of Time","Prisoner of Love","Aubrey" and other classic hits. Perry Como also sung Don Mclean's "And I Love You So".
I appreciate so much the music of Perry Comp. It is one good thing to remember always. Perry Como has indeed made great contribution to the American music industry. He has great hits that impacted and touched the lives of American audience. How about you? Do you also like Perry Como?

| | Rat Pack | | This is for the older members, who were the original members of the Rat Pack, I know Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin but I've forgotten the others? | |
|
| What's the best version of song "Sway"? | | I don't know how about you, but personally this is one of my favorite songs ever! There are so many good interpretations, starting with original by Dean Martin, old-school Frank Sinatra, until romantic Michael Buble and very modern Pussycat Dolls. For me these two last ones, are the best, but it's so hard to choose one!
Do you have the same guys with other songs, performed by different artists? If you have a piece of art to compare, very it's so difficult to choose the best one! Sometimes it's the same between two similar pictures, or choosing between book and movie.
Guys, help me, how can I compare?
| | generation gap- anyone with such funny incident?? | | Most of us have come across the words "generation gap" and have experienced it whether be it with our children or our elders - but what I am now relating is probably very funny and may be even you have had similar experiences.
I always like to listen to old good songs from the 1960s - what they call the 'evergreens' and whenever I listened to them my children would turn their face and say that I do not have an ear for good music!!! My favourite songs are of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Jim Reeves, Pat Boone, Dean Martin, Harry Belafonte, Tom Jones, Connie Francis,( I could name so many but no place here!!!) and many others of that time who used to sing very good slow and fast songs. Any way what I wanted to tell you- I was hearing "Rambling Rose" by Nat King Cole & " Billy Bayou" by Jim Reeves - and as usual my children started making fun of my songs. So I did not say anything but I copied those songs on to a CD and kept it in the car & removed the other music CDs from the car and kept them home, so that when my children took the car out they had no choice but to listen to my choice!! A little mean of me but that was the only way I could get them to listen I hoped. And guess...
