GREELEY, Colo. -- Police confirmed Thursday that a body recovered from an irrigation ditch in northern Colorado is that of a 12-year-old girl missing since March and she was the victim of homicide.Police Chief Jerry Garner said the body recovered Wednesday is that of Kayleah Wilson, of Greeley, who was last seen walking to a friend's house for a birthday party.Garner said Thursday the coroner's office ruled Wilson's death a homicide. He said police know the "manner and cause" of death but he declined to provided details. No one has been arrested, Garner said. The body had been in the irrigation ditch "for some time" in an area that had been searched twice, Garner said. Greeley is about 60 miles northeast of Denver.Police retrieved the decomposed body from the ditch Wednesday, about a half-mile from the home of the missing sixth-grader. A worker checking the ditch after heavy rain found the body in about 3 feet of water, said Sgt. Joe Tymkovich.Wilson's disappearance on March 28 spawned repeated searches by police, Greeley residents and the FBI. Authorities said they...
| | | Does Your Town Have A Historical Landmark? | | Our town, as small as it is, has a wonderful landmark. It's called the Ramona Bowl. The Ramona Bowl is an outdoor theater, built into the side of our canyons. It has the biggest production, and longest running play in the US (I believe). Is your town the proud owner of a historical landmark? Do you visit? | |
| | Newt Gingrinch is in town! | | Mr.Gingrich is at the college I work at doing a lecture. When I heard he was coming I could not remember who his was! I had to surf the internet to refresh my memory! I had forgotten he was the Speaker of the House under President Clinton until 1999. Now of course he is an author and gets paid to give lectures! So what is your opinion on Gingrich? | |
| | | I ran a round the town today | | It was up to me, my turn to run around. We are trying to save gas here and who ever has to go into town gets to run around for everyone else. I don't mind to much, it's pretty much the extent of my social life. I took the eggs to the local farmer's market, every one was very happy to see me. I hit the gas station to gas the car and pick up fuel for the tracter, the young man who helped me was wonderful
I can't lift that heavy gas tank out of the car, much less load it back in when it's full. I was able to tip him. Then it was on to the market, (Walmart) I found almost everything on my list and got to chat with the checker who is recovering from heart surgury, she had a little time to chat which was nice. Last but not least I delivered our voting ballots to the city hall. Then home and what a nice way to spend a Monday morning. I hope everyone enjoyed a few smiles on their Monday

| | Country life or town life which do you think is the best? | | I spent over 50 years living in an industrial town.
In the 60's pollution was very high from the chemicals that were made there, but there was a lot of countryside very close to be able to go and walk.As the years progressed the pollution in the town got much better, but unfortunately the country vanished little by little as more houses were built.
So in my later years in the town it was completely urban, to go for walks meant a car drive to somewhere more suitable. For the last 5 years or so I have moved to a small rural village, the air is clean and there are lots and lots of walks.I don't miss town life at all, in fact when I return it really disturbs me, I do know that many people prefer living in the town to the country,
Why do you think this is and which do you prefer? a half-mile from the home of the missing sixth-grader. | | There is a New Sushi Restaurant in My Town | | I hope it survives because they make good sushi and are fairly-priced. I'm concerned that they won't make it because a lot of businesses come and go in that spot throughout the years I have lived here. Also, Belchertown, for the most part, is a very stereotypical New England meat and potatoes community. What about you? Do new restaurants arrive in your town? Do you have sushi bar?
| | So has Adam skipped town or is just trying to show Victor he can stall things | | Adam was not at the hearing. Has he skipped town? Or, was sticking to Victor by stalling the Jabot sale without getting into trouble himself? I don't think anything has happened to him but he may have gone to Boston to try and cover his tracks as far as what he know about Dr. Taylor. Of course Phyllis already has the proof that he knew because she found Sky's journal. | |
| | after election residue..most controversial pcos in our town | | two days after the automated election here in the philippines, and yet we don't have yet the final results of the election..actually, as i am writing this, the counting (thru PCOS) is in process for the last and most controversial cluster precinct's official ballots. in truth, they have not yet started the actual counting since the representatives of the concerned candidates bombarded the BEI with questions as to why they were not able to have the results. The concerned PCOS automatically shutdown after several officials ballots had been fed to it last election day.. what really picked my interest actually to start this discussion was the fact that last night, said PCOS was afforded the very special privilege of being guarded by not just a handful but a platoon of army and police forces..what more, the said PCOS was placed right in the middle of the gym and two powerful spotlights (5,000 watts) shone on it..this afternoon, the BEI and the working force of said cluster precinct are being watched and scrutinized by hundreds of eyes from both parties, as they undergo the automated counting of the ballots for said cluster precinct..the result of this CP is very crucial since this... | |
