Discuss the icons that you love best!| New york, new york! | | I've never been there yet. I'd love to visit to taste the other side of the country. Are any of you from New York? How much do you enjoy it?
| | The Naked City: New York, New York--is it your kind of town? | | I do love New York! However, I would not be comfortable with the trend--Naked dining, Naked Yoga, Naked Comedy Clubs. I know, I know...most people say they don't do it to look at others...Maybe they do, maybe they don't. I don't want to see others naked. I don't want to SMELL others naked. Think about it. Not all people are clean. If they are naked, you become acquainted with that even sooner than if they kept their clothes on. I will admit there are time I would love to walk outside in the nude..assuming people were not there. I would love to feel the cool air on my body...but I don't want to be around others naked. Imagine in a restaurant or comedy club people put their naked bodies on a chair..and the next night someone else does. How clean! Please do not tell me how they clean the chairs after use...I know better. Then in a yoga room you have all those sweating naked bodies together. Ugh! Yes, I know everyone has to be bring their own mat. Still....and then we have enough problems with perverts as it is. This will bring more to the table.Welcome to Nude York City. Some folks are stripping down to escape the scorching summer temperatures - but others aren't waiting 'til... | |
| | New York, New York | | The last time I was in New York was in October 1997. I recall that it was during those time that John Denver died in a plane crash. As many say, you have not been to America if you have not been to New York. New York is really a place of extreme modernity, of buildings, fashion, finance, ghettos, parks and bustles. Going around is easy. The avenues and streets are logically laid down, parrarels and perpendiculars. Though I stayed in Queens, going to Manhattan is easy and fast - with trains and buses. I was treated by a cousin the bests' of America's steak house and Lobster (forgot the name & The Palm) . I wish I could be back again. | |
| | New York, New York! | | I have just responded to a New Yorker from a topic i just posted. This made me think how jealous i get when i hear people live in New York. How good is it?I would love to visit! Is your city better?I want to visit the city that never sleeps! | |
| | new york new york | | Please someone who comes from the big apple tell me how is to live in this wonderful city! i hope a day to come thre but i know that is inpossible! | |
| | Favorite song about the Big Apple? | | Do you have one? There have been so many songs written and performed about New York City. Billy Joel's New York State of Mind...the classic "New York, New York" from the musical On The Town......Alicia Keyes latest offering...."Downtown" performed by Petula Clark....Barry Mannilow's "Brooklyn Boogie". "If you can make it there, you'll make it anywhere. It's up to YOU. New York, New York"
Which song sums up NYC to you or how you envision NYC? Ugh! Yes, I know everyone has to be bring their own mat. Still....and then we have enough problems with perverts as it is. This will bring more to the table.Welcome to Nude York City. Some folks are stripping down to escape the scorching summer temperatures - but others aren't waiting 'til they hit the area's clothing-optional beaches. The au naturel look is catching on at city restaurants, a Midtown yoga club and even a stand-up comedy joint. "We're just more comfortable nude," said John Ordover, who rents city eateries for dinner parties with a strict dress code - no clothes allowed. Vote: Would you do Yoga in the buff?"We're not out to shock or put on a...
| | Ever notice the big letter surrounded by circles to the left of George | | Washington (to us as we face the bill)? That's the Federal Reserve that goes with that bill. With really, really good eyes, you don't need a magnifying glass and then there are my eyes. At any rate, the bill I have, has a B on it with Federal Reserve of New York, New York. Do you have an American Dollar Bill? If you do, what letter does it have on it and what Federal Reserve does it have written on it? So far, I've found out what SOME of the letters available on one dollar bills mean (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, K, and L so far), but not all of the letters. So if you have a dollar bill:What letter and what Federal Reserve place does it say? Have you ever studied your dollar? Have you ever studied any part of any paper money? Do you know some things about paper money that people might find fun or interesting? Could what you know help you to detect a counterfeit? I know that the B (first letter from the reserve) should be the first letter before the number series to the right of the George. So if I see some other letter there, the person isn't a very good forger, didn't even study that much. But seldom does anyone forge dollars. Up here, it's usually $20 and $100s. How about where... | |

| | Neil Diamond Not In The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? | | What are these people thinking? Neil Diamond has not yet been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? I believe that all of his fans around the world should start a letter writing campaign to try to influence his induction in the class of 2009. Unfortunately, the inductees for 2008 have already been chosen.Below is the address of the foundation which chooses the inductees. Write them a letter, and get all your family and friends to write letters as well. I will post a copy of my letter once I get it written. I think that we should mention his accomplishments and remind the foundation of his contributions to the music industry since the 1960s, including the fact that his newest album has debuted at NUMBER ONE!!Send your letters to:

[Time: 2008-02-07 17:20][Hits 794]"Build-to-order cell phone store launched"NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- A company called zzzPhone offers cell phone handsets that you can customize during your order on their Web site -- just like you do when buying a PC from Dell. You choose a "base model" and color, then hand-pick components like GPS, high-rez camera or additional storage.
A press release issued by the company today says zzzPhone is an American company with a factory in China that uses " the same high quality components as major brands Motorola, Nokia, Palm, and Samsung; these unlocked, tri-band cell phones deliver features that exceed those offered on the ultra-popular Nokia N95 and Apple iPhone, at less than half the price."
