| | What can loud noise do a child? Like noise from a broom that hits the ceiling? | | I am very concerned for my children.[em]sad[/em] The man downstairs has really made matters worse when it comes to my family. All of my kids will get mad and stomp the floor. My oldest daughter and son will talk back to me. They are very loud when they talk. My two year old daughter cries and throws unpredictable tantrums. It is very rough for me, especially, since I am the one that takes care of our kids when my husband works. Since he has hit his ceiling over and over again, it has made my kids more wilder. They are disrespectful and nasty to me. When the guy hit his floor just last week, my eight year old son got very angry at him. He took a cloth and he just started hitting at the floor. He kept fussing about how he was going to go and beat this man up. He don't like to see anyone that is messing with his momma.[em]sad[/em] I told my son to stop, before that made matters much worse. Apparently, the guy downstairs did not hear him say this about him. I was telling my cousin about how the man hits on his ceiling, and she told me that he needs to stop doing this, because this can cause bad nerves somewhere down the line with my kids. | Stars on Ice hits bad times? | | Back in 2003 or 2004, my sister won 4 tickets to Champions on Ice up here in Sacramento at a charity auction. They came with backstage passes. She, her husband and son went, and they gave me the fourth ticket. I didn't live up here at the time, so I flew up to see the show. Afterward, we got to go backstage (there was quite a crowd of people who also had backstage tickets) and get the skaters' autographs. I did a discussion about that a while back, so I'm not going to repeat all that.But it gave me an idea. I'd been going to Stars on Ice for years and I was wondering if they did backstage passes also. So I wrote to them and asked. They replied back that they didn't do that because of safety issues. Darn. So I shelved that idea and (not quite) forgot about it.This week I got an e-mail from Stars on Ice about a "meet and greet" with the skaters. Aha, hard economic times? For a mere $34.99, I can join their fan club and sign up for "meet and greet" tickets. They stole my idea and assigned a dollar value to it. lolThere wasn't a Sacramento show this year. I'm having to go to San Jose to see the show. Maybe they aren't doing as many shows because times are tough. And here's... | |

People might think that I slept with him/her in order to get ahead in my career, and not because I'm simply good at what I do. I'd rather keep my work relationships professional and my personal relationships private. If he/she hits on me that's his/her problem. It really happens in the workplace. And I have a friend who really dates her/his boss just to get the promotion and it end up that all her/his office mates hates him/her. | Badges on the sleeve to show the number of occupational "hits" | | Having touched on the delicate subject of parking tickets, I started thinking about whether the traffic wardens should have badges on their sleeves to denote how many people they'd booked. I suppose there'd only be room if each badge represented at least 100??
Then I wandered off into thinking maybe police officers could have them to denote the number of arrests they'd made....
Surgeons for the number of successful operations... plastic surgeons would of course have different badges in the shape of noses, breasts....
If you had sleeve badges for your job what would they denote?? and what emblem/picture would they be?
I think mine would be for bedpans emptied; incontinenece pads changed or bottoms wiped. I dont think anyone would need to be a creative genius to come up with an emblem for those[em]lol[/em]
