| Why divorce rate gets higher and higher? | | When the couples argued together,the most topics said" Let's divorced if you agree." What happened on the couples? When they married, they falled in love each other, argument is normal for couple in their lives, why don't they calm down to talk and understand each other? Love is bridge of marriage, if love lost, the last result should be divorce? Many younger couples divorced, because they think they are younger, they can find their love again, and they can have more choices, so it causes divorce rate gets higher and higher. | higher spending, higher taxes, no reform | | Today the House will consider the Budget Resolution Conference Report for 2009. The report calls for record tax increases, increases discretionary spending by $241 billion above the President’s level over 5 years, and does nothing to reform entitlements or earmarks. Below are some of the highlights of what this budget will do:
Raises taxes by at least $683 billion over the next 5 years. These include increases in marginal tax rates; elimination of the 10-percent bracket for lower-income taxpayers; restore the marriage penalty, the death tax, as well as install higher tax rates on investments.
Authorizes More Than $1 Trillion over and above entitlements. The conference report increases so called “discretionary spending” by $21 above the President’s request, pushing it above $1 trillion for 2009. This translates to a spending increase of $241 billion when extended over 5 years.
Entitlements Continue on Automatic Pilot. This budget does nothing to address the growing entitlement problem. Medicare and Social Security alone currently face $40 billion in unfunded liabilities, and that figure is growing unchecked every year.

| Gas Prices | | Gasoline prices are way up! For quite awhile the price stayed below $2.00. In the past week or so the price of gasoline is up or close to $2.50 a gallon! I know some of the reasons are Monday is Memorial Day and Summer is coming. I just hope it doesn't reach $4.00 a gallon or more in the near furture! When it gets that high it is not easy to pay that price! | |

| | Has the Cost of Living grown past your income where you live? | | I live in South Florida, and over the past 6 years, the cost of living here has gone up at an unbelievable pace. A house that cost 100,000 dollars 6 years ago now may cost up to 300,000 dollars. Gas prices are in the mid 2's. Electric bills are close to 200 dollars in summer months. Homeowners Insurance has gone up 300 percent due to the recent hurricanes the past few years.I have a very good job in the computer industry, and I get an annual raise of usually 3-5 percent, yet, that raise never seems to do anything but cover cost of living increases.Has the cost of living gotten out of control where you live? | |
