Discuss the icons that you love best! | | | Rejection slips. | | Here is aa very interesting article I thought my fellow writers would be interested in. I found it on the Live Your Creative Vision website. Now when you get rejected or told to revise your article by A/C, Triond or Helium you shouldn't feel so bad knowing you are in good company.Article:Rejection slips strike discouragement into the hearts of the most dedicated writers. Many of us feel so much fear and loathing when they arrive in the mail, we may procrastinate marketing our work again. Others take rejection as a sign that they should stop writing entirely.Next time you’re feeling down about your rejection slips, consider the following:Madeline L’Engle’s book, A Wrinkle in Time, was turned down 29 times before she found a publisher.C.S. Lewis received over 800 rejections before he sold a single piece or writing.Margaret Mitchell’s Gone With the Wind was rejected by 25 publishers.Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance was rejected 121 times.Johathan Livingston Seagull was rejected 40 times.Louis L’Amour was rejected over 200 times before he sold any of his writing. The San Francisco Examiner turned down Rudyard Kipling’s submission 1n... | |

| | Divination | | Divination is the art or practise of foretelling the future, past or present using different methods that the diviner may decide. Some of these ways are with the tarot, tea leaves, ouija board, crystal ball, runes, I Ching, and I'm sure many other ways. For myself I prefer to use the Tarot deck but after talking with someone else I wondered what others might prefer to use. So what form or tools do you prefer to use? Why do you prefer them and if there are options with them (like Tarot there are different spreads and decks) which do you prefer? Like I said I prefer to use the Tarot and I use it in a five card spread. I have two decks but I prefer using my Lord of the Rings deck, it seems to be easier to read for me. | |
